So, yesterday was my first day of eating entirely raw. It was pretty hard. I fell victim to a long headache which I attribute to the lack of caffeine, remember I can’t have coffee either. Another unwanted side effect is gas. I knew I would have gas, so I bought some pills before I started the diet and try to take one after each veggie meal. I hope it helps, because as of right now, Im a gas machine.
Today when I woke up, I wasn’t even hungry. Normally I can’t wait to stuff a couple pop tarts in my mouth, or a bagel with butter. This morning, I had a small glass of almond milk when I was home and when I got to work I ate a grapefruit. For lunch I have a cucumber, tomato and some edamame (yum).
My juicer is supposed to be delivered today. For dinner, I will probably have a big glass of veg juice.
Todays weigh in: 179 (must be water weight, to lose 3 lbs overnight).
Day 2
Raw Food Diet. My endeavor
Sometimes I just sit around the house, watching tv, eating some chips and think about how unhealthy and fat I am. Sometimes I will trick myself into thinking that the medication I take has caused this weight gain and theres nothing I can do about it. Then, one day, I woke up. There is something I can do about it, and dang dabit (ya like what I did there), I am going to try.
After much painstaking research, I have decided to go raw for a period of 7 days. If I am seeing results, I may extend the diet, but as of right now, 7 days is what I am committing to.
So what can I eat? Basically any raw fruits or veggies, and of course nuts and legumes. I bought a juicer to help me in my journey. And I found out, you can juice just about anything. I can’t wait to try it.My meal for the day is planned out, but I admittedly haven’t gone much farther than day 1. Here’s todays menu:
Breakfast: 1 banana, 1 grapefruit, 1 handful nut assortment
Lunch: Cut up broccoli, yellow pepper, string beans, apple
Snack: Pear, orange, raisins
Dinner: Spinach salad with cashews, tomatoes, cucumber, sunflower seeds, cauliflower.
