A weekend called Amazing

This past weekend was one of the best I’ve had in awhile. Saturday Josh and I loaded the car with energy drinks and drove to Charlottesville. We paid $20 to park at some ghetto chinese buffet and walked to John Paul Jones arena where we had our faced melted off. Gojira took the stage first. They are hardcore and really awesome to see live. Awesome French band. Lamb of God took the stage 2nd. Their lead singer has chicken legs. They were good, but not as good as Gojira. Finally, Metallica hit the stage and rocked our faces off for 2.5 hours solid. Old stuff, new stuff, great stuff. They aren’t what the used to be, but I am so glad I got to see them. The concert let out at about midnight. We got lost in Charlottesville for about 30 minutes and pounded energy drinks. We drove all the way back to Christiansburg. We jammed to death magnetic the ENTIRE way home on repeat. We were both in awe of what we had just witnessed. We got home about 3am. I was so juiced I couldn’t go to sleep. I popped a few and finally got to bed about 6am. Sunday I slept most of the day. My girl brought me food in bed. It was amazing. Then to cap off an already glorious weekend, the Phillies beat the Dodgers Sunday night 11-0. They play again tonight at 8. Game 4 baby. Back to back champs.

Best weekend in a long time.
